Positions Available:
Evening Shift:
Must be able to work 12:
00pm to 8:
00pm.
Off every other weekends.
Provides assistance in all dietary department functions including preparation and pre-portioning food such as beverages, salads, desserts and other items assigned by supervisor, for therapeutic diets according to the planned menu.
Handles food using proper food handling and food safety techniques according to established policies and regulations Ensures proper quantity of food is pre-portioned as directed.
Pre-portions and distributes food according to the planned menu and the resident's food preferences and diet order.
Ensures proper temperature of food during preparation and distribution.
Prepares and serves food in a timely manner.
Maintains a clean and safe working environment.
Performs assigned cleaning utilizing the proper cleaning chemicals.
Uses the correct portion control utensils during pre-portioning and distribution of food trays.
Ensures that meals and snacks are sent from the kitchen or serving area according to established time schedules.
Labels, dates, and stores food properly according to established policies Washes dishes, utensils, etc.

Assists in receiving, storing and verifying invoices for incoming food and supplies as indicated by the supervisor Qualifications Must be 18 years or older to operate dietary department equipment.
Prefer candidate to have ServSafe Certification, not required.
Preferred, but not required, experience working in a dietary department in a hospital, or skilled nursing facility environment.
Ability to sit, stand, bend, lift and move intermittently during work hours.
Ability to work well in a team environment and establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of personnel.
Must be able to read, write and speak the English language.
Must be able to relate and work well with all disabled and/or elderly residents and interact professionally and respectfully with residents, family members, co-workers, supervision.
